Boat Storage
Overview
Boat storage is for current financial Wakatere Boating Club Members actively participating in club activities. A waiting list is held.
'Active participation' is using your boat for club-organised sailing activities throughout the season. Specific requirements are outlined in the Terms and Conditions.
Storage includes all lockers and grassy areas and is carefully monitored by our Boat Storage Manager.
There is a strict limit on the number of boats stored on the grass. This ensures:
Fair access to lockers for all members
Safe manoeuvring of garage contents and equipment
Please respect the posted guidelines and storage tag requirements and work with us to ensure fair use of this prime facility.
Rules
Boat storage at Wakatere is reserved for our principal dinghy classes and is available only to current financial members who actively participate in club competition and sailing events. A storage fee applies, and a waiting list is maintained.
Storage is allocated per club season (1st September – 31st August) and is monitored to ensure boats are actively sailed. It includes all lockers and grassy areas at the club and is overseen by the Club’s Boat Storage Manager.
Boats may not be left at the club without official approval from the WBC Boat Storage Manager. No other club member is authorised to grant this approval. Any boat left in or out of the compound without an official allocation will be relocated to Woodall Carpark without notice, and a $100 removal fee will be charged to the owner.

Register a Request
Active financial members of Wakatere may register a request for boat storage.
It will automatically be registered on our waitlist with the date and time you submitted your form.
The bulk of allocations are confirmed just prior to the new season. Priority is given to active sailors with a spot the previous season.
As a volunteer-run club, please expect a delay in responding to mid-season requests.

Keys & padlocks
Locker padlocks & keys are the property of Wakatere Boating Club.
Locker keys: $35 one time fee for all new locker holders (non-refundable)
Lost keys: $35
Unreturned keys on vacating a locker: $35
Padlocks may not be replaced with the locker holder's own padlocks
Lost padlocks: $120
Trailer Tags
RED TAGS: Boats on the grass must display a RED club tag on their trailer.
YELLOW TAGS: Small boats in shared lockers must display a YELLOW club tag on their trailer.
Boats not displaying the relevant red or yellow tags will be removed from club lockers and the compound to Woodall Park
