Club Racing
Sail at Wakatere
Narrow Neck is one of the best locations for sailing in New Zealand - with a clubhouse on the waterfront, direct access to a wide sandy beach, and facing the picturesque Rangitoto Channel.
Regular club racing is held on most Sunday afternoons during our season from September - May. With a family focus, it's not unusual to have different members of one family sailing across a number of classes or parent/child combinations in our 2 handed dinghies.
Classes sailed: Optimist, P Class, Starling, RS Feva, 29er, 420, iQFoil, Wingfoil, ILCA, OK Dinghy, Sunburst, Farr 3.7, Zephyr, 470, A Class Cat
Head to the clubrooms when you hear the bell ring for the 12:30 briefing.

Non-members $30 per Sunday limited to 3 Sundays per season.

Visitor Registration
Online registration and payment are required for VISITORS to participate in Sunday Club Racing at Wakatere. All classes and ages are welcome.
$30 entry per Club race day
Limited to 3 Club race days per season
Visitor race entry fees can be credited to a full membership if joining in the same season.

Sign On/Off
All sailors (members & visitors) must sign on/sign off for club racing by scanning the sign-on/sign-off QR code posters in the clubrooms.
Any phone can enter any sailor.
Two-handed dinghy skippers must name their crew.
Sign-on details feed straight into the results sheet each Sunday. Changes to sail# can be updated at this point.

Feva Charter for Members
RS Fevas can be booked by club members for Sunday afternoon Club Racing (Sept 2024 - May 2025) $30 per boat.

Pay via the booking (not payable by EFTPOS/CASH at the club)
Both helm and crew must be club members and be competent club sailors (12yrs +) or Adult LTS Level 2 skills required. Bookings are subject to the final approval of our head coach.
Club Fevas are not available for casual sailing outside of coach-supported club activities. There are further T&Cs in the booking details.
Sorry, we do not offer casual boat rental to members or non-members.
