As a volunteer-run club, we are always looking for more help, and you don't have to be a club member or sailor to get involved.
Here are some of the ways you can help, pick one and get in touch -
ASHORE:
General club compound help on Sundays for putting the hoses out; putting the flag pole out; walking boat trollies to and from the beach for sailors; race radio VHF comms on Sunday in the race office (club training given); tractor driver (club training given); prepping patrol boats; washing down patrol boats & engines after sailing; first aid - locals who are willing to be contacted in an emergency; help in the kitchen with simple bbq food after Sunday sailing and/or during regattas.
ON THE WATER:
Start boat crews (recorders, timekeepers, flag signals); Finish boat skippers & crew (recorders, timekeepers); Course laying skippers & crew; rescue boat skippers & crew; Start/Finish mark laying skippers & crew. Club training is given for all these roles. Some require experience but others require no experience at all.
Finally, if anyone has some camera skills and is up for taking photos of the club race action from time to time (Sunday afternoons, fair weather only), let us know and we'll get you out on the water.
