Alert L3 and Club Patrol Boats

The restrictions around the use of patrol boat tiller steers and club buoys has been eased at Wakatere so that class reps are able to take out a boat and a mark or two to organize informal racing. There will be no rescue cover provided and members must be reminded. 

Gordon Sims will manage a calendar for class rep requests with time slots and boat names to be approved. Class reps who wish to use a tiller steer, please get in touch with Gordon.

Sport New Zealand

Also, we note Sport New Zealand guidance has been recently revised for Alert L3 Step 1 water-based activities to state that - "More water-based activities are now possible. You can now go: Sailing and boating (it is recommended that you only do this with people from the same household".  This is a change to the original position, so our two handed sailors may wish to consider sailing under this new guidance. https://sportnz.org.nz/resourc...
