We have a couple of important safety courses coming up at Wakatere. These will put you in a great position to confidently help your class, perhaps your sailor, and our club. It's a win-win-win!

Courses are a legal requirement of our operating procedure. Regardless of previous experience, you cannot drive a Wakatere patrol boat or tractor without being formally added to the club's 'approved' list.  Let’s get you qualified this season! 

PATROL BOAT SAFETY COURSE

+ COURSE FULL. Registration form closed.

• Sat 12th Oct 2024 

• 8:30am - 3:00pm

• For 15yrs+

• No cost to members, parents of junior club members & Wakatere coaches

• Register your interest here 

*If you have prior patrol boat safety qualifications and are an experienced patrol boat skipper, complete the 'already qualified' form on our H&S page and our club H&S officer will be in touch.

TRACTOR DRIVING COURSE  

+ COURSE FULL. Registration  form closed. 

In-house training with Wakatere's Graeme Milne. No fee. 

• Thursday 10th Oct

Note: It’s a strict requirement that only drivers listed on the Qualified Tractor drivers list (kept by the Club H&S Officer) may drive the tractor. If you are not on the list (or don’t know whether you are on the list) don’t drive it. Get approved!
