There were some beautiful sailing and training days there with 10-20 knot North Easterlies - real Champagne sailing conditions. The sailors learnt a lot, and were pleasantly suprised that they can foot it with some of the best in the world if they work their boats really hard and start on the line and at the right end.

Tim Adair had a storming first day,  as did Markus, however gear damage on Markus's charter boat put paid to a top finish for him, but Tim finished in 27th. Airi and Aidan managed to get top 100 finishes in the fleet of 205. James Grover Grey showed contiued great progress to get 109th, whilst other Wakatere sailors had great individual races from time to time.

The sailors found it exciting to be sailing against sailors from countries such and Mozambique and Slovenia.

Napier Sailing club put on an outstanding event.
